In my day job as a college chaplain, I am often working to create sacred moments in the middle of hectic days. I know that lots of my friends have struggled to find devotional material that works for their busy schedules and their homeschool/ hybrid/school-at-home life.
Enter the 5 Minute Family Devotional! This is a short devotional for families with younger kids that may only have a few minutes to add in some scripture and conversation. This is something I made for you for free, because I know how hard I’ve found it to find devotionals that work with my family’s schedule and with our religious convictions.
This devotional covers the first creation story in Genesis and has short questions to spark conversation with kids of a range of developmental stages. There are two potential activities for families with more time, and a prayer for each day. This devotional understands scientific observation as one of God’s many love languages.
